SECURITY: Ubuntu Servers went offline from DDos Attack

If you had trouble updating Ubuntu or and some derived Linux distributions earlier this month (as of drafting this 7 May 2026), you are not alone. Canonical, owner of Ubuntu, encountered a Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack2 by an alleged Iranian sympathetic group (Team 313)3. The attack seemed to have lasted for a few days.
