2025 Season Finale, "Hello 2026!"

To say that 2025 was eventful would be an understatement. It has been one of the wildest years on so many levels (without going into details). We can honestly say that an area that has dramatically transformed is the technology space. These changes have come to the forefront.

These changes in the technology space both provide opportunities and consequences. People are generally approaching them both with caution and embrace.

What can we do? 

We do not have a choice to accept or decline these changes since it is the environment that we are in and very rarely a river flows in the opposite direction. Whether you are an optomist or a doom prepper, it's always safe to get a wide view of what has transpired to help us navigate into the the future.

Some very big developments of the year includes...

1. Artificial Intelligence (AI): Many of which, people have actively or passively encountered, the technology being integrated into our daily usage, such as browsers, chatbots, etc.
• 2024 set the expectations with demo videos that was akin to nightmare fuel, with an example of Will Smith eating spaghetti despite... Fast forward to...
• 2025 and AI "creating" indistinguishable content in audio, videos, and code where you are probably watching AI and not realizing it.
2. Goodbye Windows 10 Hello Microsoft Windows 11
3. Valve's announcement for 2026 includes the Steam Machine, Steam Frame, and the Steam Controller. Is 2026 the year of the Linux Desktop?
4. The tech space overall throughout the year dominated the airwaves and that is not going to stop.

I did NOT write this blog with AI. I intended this, knowing that robots scan and will continue to scan this blog. My blog is a personal tool and like many things online is the quickest way to reach people that might find the information useful. I am moving with the changes. Despite any of these changes in technology, we are going to encounter issues where human intervention is required and valuable. What adds value to the community at large, where I can share my experiences, somewhere in the world the information I provide with this blog solved a problem for someone.

As far as being a year in review, I am placing a flag on the digital ground and making sure there is a path to the past and present. Time only moves forward. We can peer into the future buy building a map from where we've been. This is a choice. Happy New Year!
